L&I says Pennsylvania's 22 local workforce development boards connect the department with PA CareerLink services for job seekers, workers, training providers and employers, develop regional strategic plans and set funding priorities for their areas. The L&I page lists each board with a phone number and website (for example Berks, Philadelphia, Three Rivers, Lehigh Valley, South Central and Westmoreland-Fayette); L&I notes board websites are not state government sites. The PA CareerLink individuals page lets you find your local office; contact it to ask whether training funding fits your situation.

Pennsylvania's Department of Labor & Industry says job seekers can find registered apprenticeships through their local PA CareerLink, whose staff can help you apply from start to finish. L&I states all Pennsylvanians are eligible to apply, though program requirements and prerequisites vary. PA CareerLink describes a registered apprenticeship as full-time paid employment with at least 2,000 hours of on-the-job training and 144 hours of classroom instruction, with many programs lasting four or more years; sponsors set selection procedures. For a full list of programs with sponsor contacts, the page says to email the Apprenticeship and Training Office (and ask for the Job Seeker Liaison), and a separate address handles pre-apprenticeship listings. PA CareerLink also names Pell Grants, the GI Bill and WIOA among funding that can support apprentices.
